dance

Men all over the world may want to know what moves they can throw to attract women. Recently, an experiment has been made to find the answer. 19 men aged 18-35 were filmed in a lab as they danced to a standard disco beat. Then 37 young heterosexual women were shown 15-second clips of the avatars and were asked to judge which dance movements were the most attractive.

So the reslut comes out. Good dancers did wider and bigger movements of the head, neck and torso, and did faster bending and twisting movements of their right knee. In contrast, bad dancers tended to be stiff and plod, and throwing their arms around was no substitute for fast, variable movement of the central body region.

There will be wide cultural variability about the way people dance, but the interest in the core body movements will be the same. The movement of the trunk, the neck and the shoulders give out signals of strength, suppleness and vitality.

Anne HathawayHow to become the Romance Novel Heroine? We may admire Audrey Hepburn in “Roman Holiday”, or Anne Hathaway in “The Princess Diaries”. But we know the people like that only exist in the story. However, the characters they have are something we could have as well as long as we pay more attention in our own life and tell ourself who we want to be. Then it will not be far from the dream to be the Romance Novel Heroine. Here are five ways to perfect you.

Don’t confuse a mistake with a character flaw. A mistake is a one-time thing — something that can be fixed. But a character flaw is a permanent defect. Craig and Hughes say, “Once a man has cheated, he’s probably going to do it again … and again.”

The only way to get what you want is to ask for it. Solid advice in relationships and elsewhere. “Jayne learned a long time ago that the best way to succeed in life is to identify your goal and then set out to attain it. Part of that attainment process involves stating your goal to the people who matter. That means, if she wants a better table at a restaurant, she tells the maitre d’. If she wants a promotion at work, she tells her boss. And if she wants a monogamous relationship with her boyfriend? Well, that means she tells [him].”

craft potsWe just talked about how to be happy, and if you still remember, doing some craft can really help you getting a happy state of mind. Therefore, I’m here now going to share you with an idea of how to craft a pretty pot. I got the idea after seeing too many beautifully patterned pots that were just out of my price range! Nothing a little Mod Podge and pretty fabric can’t fix! The total cost of this project was about $3 each pot.

The only materials you’ll need is: Terracotta pots, Mod Podge, Brush, Fabric. This works better in description form, rather than step-by-step: Start by cutting a length of fabric that will wrap once around your pot. Leave extra room for folding it over on the top and bottom. Cut slits in the fabric around the top, to avoid puckering as you make your way around. Begin by coating a small section of the pot with Mod Podge. Stick the beginning of your fabric length to the pot and once it is in place, coat the fabric with Mod Podge. Continue doing this all the way around, without worrying about the top or bottom of the pot. When the outside of the pot is finished, trim your fabric so that less than an inch hangs over the top and bottom. Begin at the top, folding the fabric into the pot in pleats so that it lays nice and flat around the rim. Coat in Mod Podge. Do the same for the bottom, folding the fabric in pleats so that the bottom edge of the pot remains smooth. Coat any loose flaps of fabric with Mod Podge. Now let your pot dry. And that’s it, a pretty pot filled with happy!

And by the way, I would probably avoid using these pots outside, because if they get wet, the glue will most likely wash off! However, this will make a nice vase to grow your beautiful flowers inside the house! And packaged with some seeds and cute gardening gloves, these would be an adorable Valentine’s Day gift too! Hope you enjoy the process and the results!

monster hat and scarf setWe girls were born with creation in our blood, so no news that we love crafts. Sewing is good but we must first have a sewing machine, so then here comes knitting, all you need is some knitting thread and a set of knitting needle, then just begin your creation!

It’s really amazing how a simple thread turn into interesting things. I don’t know anything about knitting but still it’s amazing, and I am learning now. It is really interesting and funny to make out a funny creature with your own hands!

I found this on a knitting forum, and I thought this looks very funny and nice. The eyes and teeth are crocheted. The set is inspired by ladylinoleum’s crocheted eyeballs. It looks cute and adorable on the little girl here. The eyes and ears on the hat is funny and the how the tongue comes through the keyhole part of the scarf is just creative! The little “monster” looks very adorable and eye-catching!

Hope you like it. And if you know something about knitting, you can knit it yourself! But if you know nothing about it like I do, well, you can just start learning!

The Ramen girlThe American Beauty, Brittany Murphy has been gone for a while now. And if I may, I’d say I do really miss her on the screen, and I think the best way to mourn her is to watch her movie with a sincere heart. So here’s The Ramen girl, my favorite movie of hers!

When her boyfriend leaves her high and dry in Tokyo, spoiled American tourist Abby (Brittany Murphy) finds solace in a neighborhood ramen noodle house run by a cantankerous old chef (Toshiyuki Nishida), who agrees to take her on as an apprentice cook. But will the dirty grunt work and endless criticism drive Abby away before she discovers the serene beauty in the perfect bowl of soup — and in herself? Robert Allan Ackerman directs this comedy.

Her romance is on Pins and Noodles, I found my tears falling down coming out of nowhere when she made the bowl of noodle that made everyone cry. Yes, I know “Clueless” and “8 miles” are great, but just found myself more obsessed with this one, when the modern west meets the mysterious east, when the two different culture clashed there’s a lot of creation and moving!

paperYes, what can paper do? Believe it or not, these 3D wall decors rich in colors and patterns are all handmade from paper by an ingenious graphic designer Yulia Brodskaya. Truly shocking! All I’ve got in mind is “WOoooW”. She perfectly combines typography, paper and dedicate hand-made craft objects all together, endowing these advertising posters with a distinctive beauty. Really hard to believe such beautiful things can be just made of plain paper, however if you see really carefully you do can discover that there’s truly only paper there! And one might should start to wonder if paper can become such a beauty, then how about others, like wood, like plastic, like threads…etc. Now, you might want to start your own artwork…

Well, let’s get back to the story. Using this unique technique, Yulia Brodskaya has made advertising posters for Orange, Nokia and other companies. Bravo! Just check out these pictures yourself!paperart for starbuckspaperart

heartAlthough Valentine’s day is still days away, for those in love it’s just around the corner. Whatever, this is really is time for us to think about what present to give for Valentine’s day. As we all love delicious chocolates, and sweets offered by sweethearts can be extremely sweet, so homemade chocolate might be a very good choice.

Grab a couple pounds of organic chocolate and start make your own chocolate. If you are like me, know nothing about cook or bake, then here’s the simplest way to make your own homemade chocolate.

First, melt the chocolate you bought in a milk pan or any other container that can be heated; Then, pure the melted chocolate into some moulds(you can buy from most stores) then wait for them to cool down to form solid chocolate again; At last, you can use jam or other to do some decorations or not.

Hope you do enjoy making your own chocolate, it’s really worth the sweat!
