If you plan to open a shop, you can consider China Wholesale, because you can get much more cheap goods through China Wholesale instead of other channels, and the quality of which is not bad. There is no need to analyse why the goods from China is so cheap, but just need to know it is an absolute fact. If you want to know more details, I’d like to talk some for your reference.

That is related with the cost on transport and labor, as well as risk on trade. The salary in China is not as high as that in other developed countries, which reduces the cost to some extent. That is one reason that it is cheap. But why is it so cheap, even cheaper than that on the mainland of China?

Now we need to know something about transport in China. One cheap way to transport goods among cities is by train. But the train is too short and there is no seamless logistics between train and other means of transportation, so that it is not efficient to transport goods by train. Then how about highway? Take no account of oil consumption, but the highway toll is a big expense as well, and we can’t avoid other extra cost on so-called “Check”.

The biggest reason is risk on trade. It is indeed annoying that you can’t get payment after you transport your goods to the customer, who always doesn’t pay for them in time or creat arrears or even break the contract. This type of payment also brings some other cost. But it is trouble saving for Chinese businessmen to trade with foreigners because of letter of credit. As long as they transport goods abroad, they will soon get the payment without any trouble.

It may be why that you can buy a pair of chinese climbing shoes only with $2.99, while you need to spend $89.95 on a pair of Nike climbing shoes. Of course there is difference on the quality. But to those who want to spend less to get a pair, they may can’t imagine they can buy shoes with only $2.99, so do people even living in China. You must can’t find the good of same quality in the same price. If you position your business on China Wholesale, you can fully believe your goods gotten through China Wholesale will be popular in your native country. China Wholesale is indeed one channel for cheap goods.

Looking for Enviromental Wedding at a Conscious Clothing trunk showMore and more people have begun to pay attention to enviroment, so do lots of brides-to-be, who are looking for ways to minimize the enviromental impact of their wedding while having the celebration they’ve always dreamed of.

One great place to start is at the Conscious Clothing trunk show, Sunday, March 7, at Blue Sky Bridal in Greenwood. Since 1995, Conscious Clothing has been creating environmentally friendly wedding attire from sustainable, biodegradable hemp-blend fabrics. All of their fabrics are chosen for beauty, drape and texture and include hemp-silk, hemp floral jacquard, and hemp-silk satin. For vegan brides who want to avoid animal-derived fabrics (like silk, which is made from the cocoons of a certain worm), all dresses can be made in a 100-percent-vegan hemp-tencel blend.

In addition to being good for the environment, Conscious Clothing gowns are made to order in the U.S. and can be customized to each bride’s unique preferences. So as is expected, gown whose styles range from the classic to the romantic, will not be cheap for prices at $1075 to $2300.

Homemade-cufflinks-001

Valentine’s Day has past a few days before. It’a pity that I don’t have a glance at this article in time, otherwise I’d like to introduce you how to make your own jewellery for Valentine’s Day. Maybe it can be the preparation for the next Valentine’s Day, if you still remeber the steps at that time.

It is cool to wear your heart on your sleeve with personalised jewellery. This article shows you how to make cufflinks and pendants with a difference. First of all, some things are needed to make a pendant, containing pendant pad, chain, glass cap, epoxy glue and paper with message that is the same size as the glass cap.

1. Select your message or image. Your first words to each other? Where you met? Your favourite holiday destination? A fragment of poetry? A map signalling where to meet for a date? Use the glass cap as a template. If you’re making cufflinks, remember you’ll need two!

2. Glue the message on to the cufflink blank or pendant. Leave to dry in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Stick the glass cap over the top of the message. Try not to use too much glue – a thin layer should be plenty.

4. If you still want to send a Valentine’s Day card, you can always use a hole punch to make two holes in the card and use those to display your cufflinks or pendant.

5. If you don’t have the time or enthusiasm to go the whole hog this year, you can always order a pair of ready-made photo display cufflinks from Cuffs’n'Collars. Then all you have to do is cut out your picture and place it in the holder.

Homemade-notebook-001

It seems most of us has accustomed to throw things we don’t need away and never think of recycling them. Maybe that can’t be called a kind of waste. But if we pay more enthusiasm to our usual life, we could live a more creative life, such as giving a new lease of life to scrap paper with a simply bound notebook.

Bookbinding is a craft with some truly remarkable outcomes, where you can get really creative and experimental. Short courses and books, such as Angela James’s The Handmade Book and Shereen LaPlantz’s Cover to Cover, are a good way of seeing just what artworks can be achieved … but today we’re going warts-and-all.

1. Stack all your papers together. It doesn’t matter if they are different textures, colours or thicknesses – I find this actually makes the book more interesting – they just need to be cut to one size (of your own choosing).

2. With all the papers aligned against their left-hand edge, place them on your cutting mat. Using a ruler, mark a light line with your pencil down the left-hand edge, about 1-2cm in. Mark increments down this line, between 1-2cm apart. Remember the more widely spaced the increments, the longer your stitches will be, and the quicker your book will take to sew. The shorter, the more labour-intensive, but also the more refined.

3. Align all your pages once more on the cutting mat. If you have a small clamp, use this to fix the pages to something solid, like the corner of a table. If not, press down hard on the top of your stack and start pushing through your increments with a thick needle or drill. Depending on how thick your book is you might be able to do this in one go. If not, separate your pages into sections, mark each one up, push through the holes and then combine.

4. Thread your needle. Although this might go against every sewing sensibility you have, tie a knot around the head of the needle (this prevents the thread from escaping when you push it through the paper).

5. Push your needle from underneath your stack at the bottom hole, leaving a good 12.5cm of string spare when you pull the thread through. Don’t tie a knot at the end.

6. Weave your way up the spine of the book, threading each hole. When you reach the top, go back the other way so that each hole has been gone through twice and you have a continuous line of thread up the spine.

7. When you reach the bottom, cut the needle loose and tie the two spare threads together – I like a lavish bow!

craft potsWe just talked about how to be happy, and if you still remember, doing some craft can really help you getting a happy state of mind. Therefore, I’m here now going to share you with an idea of how to craft a pretty pot. I got the idea after seeing too many beautifully patterned pots that were just out of my price range! Nothing a little Mod Podge and pretty fabric can’t fix! The total cost of this project was about $3 each pot.

The only materials you’ll need is: Terracotta pots, Mod Podge, Brush, Fabric. This works better in description form, rather than step-by-step: Start by cutting a length of fabric that will wrap once around your pot. Leave extra room for folding it over on the top and bottom. Cut slits in the fabric around the top, to avoid puckering as you make your way around. Begin by coating a small section of the pot with Mod Podge. Stick the beginning of your fabric length to the pot and once it is in place, coat the fabric with Mod Podge. Continue doing this all the way around, without worrying about the top or bottom of the pot. When the outside of the pot is finished, trim your fabric so that less than an inch hangs over the top and bottom. Begin at the top, folding the fabric into the pot in pleats so that it lays nice and flat around the rim. Coat in Mod Podge. Do the same for the bottom, folding the fabric in pleats so that the bottom edge of the pot remains smooth. Coat any loose flaps of fabric with Mod Podge. Now let your pot dry. And that’s it, a pretty pot filled with happy!

And by the way, I would probably avoid using these pots outside, because if they get wet, the glue will most likely wash off! However, this will make a nice vase to grow your beautiful flowers inside the house! And packaged with some seeds and cute gardening gloves, these would be an adorable Valentine’s Day gift too! Hope you enjoy the process and the results!

monster hat and scarf setWe girls were born with creation in our blood, so no news that we love crafts. Sewing is good but we must first have a sewing machine, so then here comes knitting, all you need is some knitting thread and a set of knitting needle, then just begin your creation!

It’s really amazing how a simple thread turn into interesting things. I don’t know anything about knitting but still it’s amazing, and I am learning now. It is really interesting and funny to make out a funny creature with your own hands!

I found this on a knitting forum, and I thought this looks very funny and nice. The eyes and teeth are crocheted. The set is inspired by ladylinoleum’s crocheted eyeballs. It looks cute and adorable on the little girl here. The eyes and ears on the hat is funny and the how the tongue comes through the keyhole part of the scarf is just creative! The little “monster” looks very adorable and eye-catching!

Hope you like it. And if you know something about knitting, you can knit it yourself! But if you know nothing about it like I do, well, you can just start learning!

paperYes, what can paper do? Believe it or not, these 3D wall decors rich in colors and patterns are all handmade from paper by an ingenious graphic designer Yulia Brodskaya. Truly shocking! All I’ve got in mind is “WOoooW”. She perfectly combines typography, paper and dedicate hand-made craft objects all together, endowing these advertising posters with a distinctive beauty. Really hard to believe such beautiful things can be just made of plain paper, however if you see really carefully you do can discover that there’s truly only paper there! And one might should start to wonder if paper can become such a beauty, then how about others, like wood, like plastic, like threads…etc. Now, you might want to start your own artwork…

Well, let’s get back to the story. Using this unique technique, Yulia Brodskaya has made advertising posters for Orange, Nokia and other companies. Bravo! Just check out these pictures yourself!paperart for starbuckspaperart

iCupcakesWhether you love the iPhone or hate it, there’s one thing you can’t deny, it really created a new era of smartphones. Now you can see a lot of iPhone-ish smartphones out on streets, and many other iPhone related gadgets out there too. Here’re some cute iCupcakes for you!

Laughing Squid posted these yummy, adorable, and prize-winning iPhone cupcakes. The cupcakes, created by Nick and Danielle Bilton, swept the Cupcake Decorating Championship at Ignite NYC II. I love the phone badge and the timer’s tiny details but can’t help but feel that the stocks cupcake somehow is missing a bit of white frosting. Also, the calendar date was wrong for the time of the championships, but I suspect that the judges wouldn’t notice that.

To be short, great nice little cakes! And most importantly, they remind us that we can be creative whenever we wanted, even cupcakes can be creative! All we need is the determination and patience to show our ideas in our way!

Nice cellphone caseWe love our phones, so we do need some beautiful nice “suit” for them! We’ve seen lots of phone cases in the market, and some of them are admittedly quite beautiful, but somehow I find this one really perfect for girls. No rush, just keep reading!

Most girls do have a favor for cloth crafts. So here it is, as you can see, it’s a very simple phone case, sewed together with two layers of calicoes, those little flowers looks  beautiful. And the red button here shines like a ruby, looks just fine and makes the case a little more elegant. Yes, the case is indeed very plain, really simple , but somehow we do see the quality and attractiveness!

And wait a moment, the best part about this phone case is that you can actually make it yourself, and the style can vary from person to person, for you can choose your favorite cloth and make your own shape! And all you need is some cloth and a button or anything else, a sewing machine will be a plus, but you can totally do the job without it! The rest is patience and creativity! Really awesome, right?!
